Holiday Décor and Accessory/Window Treatment Updates
This client approached me with a project that began as updating accessories and evolved into not only new accessories, but also window treatment upgrades, accent furniture selection, artwork, paint colors as well as light fixture selection. As you’ll see from the photography, this is a lovely traditional space and as our inspiration we used the client’s love of travel, especially to Paris. After we finished accenting most of the first floor living spaces, I was also asked to decorate the space for the Christmas holiday and the client was very pleased.
We updated the living room/family room space with new artwork, accessories, lamps, an accent table and two etageres to showcase collectibles. The etageres are by Hooker Furniture and the cherry accent table is by Drexel Heritage. Fabric for the drapery panels in the living room is by Candice Olson. Accent furniture and fabric resourced via the Arlington Design Center in Arlington Heights, IL. The foyer table is from West Elm and the circular mirror is from Crate and Barrel. The faux orchid is from Gump’s of San Francisco, CA.
Once the holiday season was over, we moved on to updating the dining room with a new chandelier, lamps, reworked the existing draperies, refreshed the paint color and added the beautiful vintage map of Paris artwork from Ballard Designs. This was a very lovely space to be able to transform and exceed the client’s expectations. Before photos can be seen at the end of the gallery. All design concepts and selections by Ann Oakes Design.
